Head Teacher's Blog 23rd February 2018

Welcome to the first Blog of Term 4 - I can't believe how quickly the year is flying by.

I would like to start by congratulating everyone who took part in Pantomania - I attended both of the evening performances and was absolutely blown away by the confidence and professionalism of the cast and crew. Milky White gets a special mention - so much emotion in a simple 'Moo'!!! I would also like to congratulate Mrs Manghan - the Panto was a glorious combination of different pantomimes with a bit of The A Team and some Star Wars thrown in for good measure. An absolute triumph!! Big thanks to Miss Shaw as well for keeping everyone organised and co-ordinating the show from the front desk

This week has been very successful for our Netball team - winning by 30 to 16. Full match report and names next week. Our football teams did not fare so well but that was not through lack of effort. More matches next week so I will dedicate a section of the Blog to them then.

Our big focus at the moment is Year 11 preparation for Exams. We held the 'Big Push' evening on Wednesday where information was provided to help with passing the Core subjects (English, Maths and Science) as well as revision tips and techniques. We didn't have many attend which was disappointing but we will make all of the resources and presentations available on the website for you. Personalised Exam timetables will be given to Year 11 students on 5th March and the Summer Exam Timetable is already available on our website in the Parental Information area.

I will finish by saying a big thank you to staff and students for their hard work so far this year, and to parents for your support. Not just for year 11 but for all students in the school. Each and every week is important in the drive for progress and it is always a team effort. The Peele is moving forwards and we are all in this together to provide the best possible education for our young people. Have a great weekend.
